Karen Naismith, M.A. Ed., is a professional artist specializing in original glass artwork, unique jewelry, & handmade paper. She has been a Montessori art teacher, craft instructor for all ages/abilities, 3rd grade teacher, homeschool teacher, & has volunteered extensively in schools.
Karen has enjoyed being a stained glass artist for over 20 years. She has created hundreds of unique and original windows, sun catchers, entryways, boxes, & other artwork for clients & businesses throughout Florida, the US, & as far away as Paris, France. Of the hundreds of glass pieces she has created, only a few designs have ever been repeated.
A few years ago, Karen discovered a passion for creating handmade papers & other artwork using recycled materials & incorporating positive messages. This new direction helps fulfill her desire to do her small part to make our world a better, happier, & more peaceful place. Her handmade paper cards are made using recycled papers, & natural materials such as tea leaves, flower petals, berries, wildflower seeds, & plants. Karen welcomes & enjoys creating custom handmade paper invitations & announcements - they are great for weddings, showers, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, births, parties, holidays, & more!
Currently, her main art specialty is creating original and unique handmade jewelry featuring handworked metals and Swarovski crystals.
